MotoGP
The 2011 MotoGP World Championship action resumes this weekend, with the CARDION ab GRAND PRIX CESKE republiky, at the Automotodrom Brno.

Last year, the Brno race was won by Jorge Lorenzo, for Fiat Yamaha, with Dani Pedrosa, Repsol Honda, second, and Casey Stoner, Ducati Team, third.

This year's event will start with Stoner, Repsol Honda, leading the Championship on 193 points, and Lorenzo second with Yamaha Factory Racing, having a score of 173. In third place is Repsol Honda's Andrea Dovizioso, who has 143 points.

After Brno, next time out, is Sunday 28th August, for event number 12, of 18 this year, and the RED BULL INDIANAPOLIS GRAND PRIX, in the USA.

Those clever people at Pirelli
Always looking for something new and exciting, Pirelli's boffins have come up with a clever trick, to celebrate the success of the Diablo family of performance tyres for sporty road and racetrack use, and the brand's renewed role as Official Tyre Supplier to the Superbike World Championship until 2015.

The "Diablo Super Biker iPhone App" is just released and will allow riders to track their speed, lean angle and route on the road and racetrack, even share the experience with friends. The App is available via the AppleĀ® App Storesm and iTunes. Read more...

"In Touch", from Dunlop
The July issue of "In Touch", from Dunlop, is out now, and their periodical look at the current Motorsport News is a "125cc Special", in the wake of the brand's 125th 125cc victory, which culminated in one of the closest wins in history; finally determined by a fastest lap verdict, when visual technology failed to establish the race victor !

Despite the 125cc MotoGP class regulations allowing for open tyre competition, Dunlop has won every race in the series since Casey Stoner triumphed at the Grand Prix of Valencia, in November 2003.

The latest "In Touch" takes a look at the history of the 125cc World Championship, since inception in 1949, up to this, the last season for the competition, which will be replaced by Moto3, from next year.

As currently with Moto2, also until at least the end of 2014, Dunlop will fulfil a contract for the exclusive supply of tyres to the Moto3 Championship, so supporting two "classes" which many consider to deliver more exciting and competitive racing than seen from the MotoGP "Premier Division".

"In Touch" makes fascinating reading for all followers of motorcycle racing. View it as a download in "Features" at www.worldofbiketyres.com and checkout http://motorsport.dunlop.eu/ for the latest on the manufacturer's motorsport activities.
