Bibendum returns to the Motorcycle Trade Expo, at Birmingham's NEC, 18 to 20 January 2009, as a member of the Bike Tyrestore team on stand number 410. There's no missing Michelin's slimmed down, but still a touch corpulent, corporate mascot, and no two-wheel show would be complete without him. We saw Avon's new performance tyre, "VP2", at the InterMot show in Cologne recently, and it looks set to continue the success of the highly rated Viper range.


VP2 comes in three different versions, Sport, Supersport and Xtreme, across a variety of popular fitments, all setting out to allow riders to get just what they want from their machines. Enhanced construction methods and debut use of multi-compound rubber construction, put VP2 at the forefront of the hypersports rubber spectrum.

VP2 (AV59 and AV60), becomes available, quarter one 2009.

Sporting his trademark bouffant hairstyle, 2008 250cc MotoGP Champion Marco Simoncelli was presented with a specially designed helmet by Dunlop, at a press party following the MotoGP Valencia finale.

Raoul Smits, European sales and marketing manager for Dunlop Motorcycle Tires said that Dunlop had commissioned the striking "200" helmet to celebrate the company's 200th consecutive victory in the 250cc class. "We celebrate not only 200 consecutive victories, but also our 16th consecutive World Championship in 250cc GP" said Smits, "Racing is very important to us, and the technology transfer between race and road helps us to develop road tires with outstanding characteristics with regards both to safety and performance."

In the "Stockcode" box, enter the tyre size you are looking for like this: 1207017 or 1805517 for 120/70ZR17 and 180/55ZR17. For a quick find of a specific manufacturer's products, add "a" for Avon, "b" for Bridgestone and so on, then hit "Search".

In fact, using all the available category selectors and filters, it is possible to go straight to exactly the sought for tyre, but this is rarely necessary, so we do strongly recommend using the procedure described above.
