Bridgestone T30s have got talent!

Bridgestone is ensuring that some of the nation’s most popular celebrities – from Amanda Holden to David Beckham – are kept on the straight and narrow, courtesy of an ‘a-list’ donation of T30 tyres.

Stars of Britain’s Got Talent and a host of other television shows, are getting from their homes to the workplace in a safe, smooth manner after the tyre manufacturer sponsored a motorcycle chauffeur with a supply of its acclaimed BATTLAX T30 product.

Russ Marks can now look forward to picking up the rich and famous in the popular grippy tyre, which has been fitted to his Yamaha 1300 FJR.

Russ has been ferrying a who’s who of UK celebrities around London for 20 years and is delighted to have forged a partnership with Bridgestone and his Limo Bike company.

The 49 year-old Londoner said the T30 is the best product he has ridden on and offered a great deal of reassurance, which is a relevant point when Ben Shepherd, Sir Kenneth Branagh and company are riding pillion with him.

Russ said: “The Yamaha is finicky about tyres and adding clients luggage exaggerates this issue, whereas the T30 offers a stable solution.

“I am in the business of creating time for celebrities by getting them from ‘A to B’ as quickly and safely as possible.

“There is always a balance of getting them there and keeping them safe while you are doing it so you don’t want to be worrying about the tyres on your bike.

“I was sponsored by another manufacturer but I am way happier to be with Bridgestone as the T30 suits my bike perfectly. It is the best tyre I have ridden on and the set-up is just right.”

Russ counts Amanda Holden, Holly Willoughby, as close contacts and said that there wasn’t a day that went by when he didn’t feel lucky to be doing his job.

“Having Amanda Holden holding you closely is a tough job, but someone’s got to do it,” joked Russ. “The wonderful thing about the bike is that it’s a great leveller, so all of the celebrities are lovely to spend time with. The very nature of jumping on the back of a bike with a relative stranger means they’re going show you a warm side of their personality.”

Bridgestone’s UK and Ireland motorcycle tyre sales manager Andrew Whitehead said that seeing the Bridgestone branding alongside some of the biggest names in television never ceased to make him smile. “Russ actually contacted us because he switched to the BATTLAX T30 and said it suited his bike better than any other product he had used.

“When he told us this, and we saw the high profile work that Russ carries out on a daily basis, we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to support him by way of a supply of tyres.

“Russ is certainly putting them to good use and the thought of Amanda Holden arriving on our screens after a Bridgestone journey beforehand is really nice to know!”
